#23 - Not Homeless Anymore

Yes, I know it’s been a while. I actually recorded this in San Diego this week while at a conference. We are finally out of the rental house and now have a home to call our own. I take you through our journey to get our new home. I also talk about some troubles we have had with the moving company.

#22 - Hey man, it’s a job

Disclaimer: This podcast contains content that may be perceived as negative. The intent is to tell a story from a different perspective. This is in the spirit of good fun. Please do not take this serious.

This week, I share my recent family trio to Walt Disney World. I share my perspective of how if you want to have fun on your family vacation, don’t expect to have fun. Treat it like a job.

I am also looking at kicking out some old school Domesticated Male podcasts from the first time that I did the show back in 2006.

#21 - The Force is Strong With This One

Tonight, I begin with an announcement regarding the Podcasters of Dallas-Ft. Worth meeting scheduled for Wednesday, December 5, 2007. The meeting is being held at…

Spike Global Grill
5321 E Mockingbird Ln #100, Dallas
Dallas, TX 75206
(214) 828-2229

The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will feature the team from GeekBrief.tv.

This episode explores the age appropriateness of my 4-year old daughter’s interest in Star Wars and the PowerPuff Girls. Ulitmately, the question I address, is…

Is her interest in these show damaging from a psychological perspective?  I think my wife and I have different perspectives on this. Guess what I think.

On of my next shows may need to Stacy on so we can discuss for you.

#20 - Hostage Crisis

I am back after about an 8 week break. I provide a quick overview of the key events in ourlives over the past 2 months.

I share a recent story about my stapler being kidnapped at work and all the action that followed.

I also discuss the Podcasters of DFW meeting that I attended earlier this week.

I close the show with music by Johnny Citizen compliments of the Podsafe Music Network.

#19 - The Move (Part 1)

I surprise my audience with a surprise podcast (the 2nd in 1 week). Ultimately, I felt bad about how I left things with the last show. I felt that the studio that was the setting for over 30 podcasts deserved better (and probably still does).

I disclose a couple of guilty pleasures, talk about the move and feature Keep On Moving by Evolver (thanks Podshow).

#18 - Sold!

This week I announce that the house has been sold. I review the past week and getting to this point. I also share the importance of having a good Realtor.

I also feature Step It Up by Joel Lightman Band. Music provide courtesy of Podshow.

#17 - Nothing But a Good Time

This week I provide my perspective of the Poison Concert I attended a couple of weeks ago. In all, it was a good show. A lot of fun.

I also announce that my show will be coming out every 2 weeks instead of weekly (since that is what I am doing anyways) until things calm down here a little - so probably in about 15 years or so.

#16 - Under the Knife

This week, I provide a quick update on the house and share some thoughts on how much easier (not better) it can be being a single guy.

I also share the experience of having my vasectomy last week. By the way, I am recovering well. I just might live.

I close the show with music by New Leaf compliments of Podshow.

#15 - Museum Mode

This week, I kick off the show with a discussion regarding my upcoming vasectomy. The only part I am really worried about is the initial injection and shaving myself. I am disrupted by my wife and our friend coming back from the bar.

As far as the move goes, not much to report, we have a sign in the front of the house and are officially in Museum Mode. This means that we really cannot touch anthing. This is hard with a 7 month old and a 4 year old running around.

Some good news for me - I am getting a iPhone and I am going to the Poison concert next month. I close the show with Possible Oscar’s Talk Nerdy to Me courtesy of the Podsafe Music Network.

#14 - A Tarp, A Roll of Tape and A Machete

This week, I announce that we are moving after being in our current house for 16 months. During that time, we quickly realized that we wanted a different location, floorplan and a yard.

I share my first adventure with the move, Re-sodding the backyard.

I also announce that I will be getting a vasectomy in a couple of weeks. This will be discussed at length during next week’s show.

I close the show with “Let It Go” by Bret Mikels, compliments of the Podsafe Music Network.
